A lifetime ago, I assembled another site to help clarify my own professional goals, aspirations and - dare I say it - document how I was finding personal and professional balance. Truth was - I just wasn't balancing at all. I was a woman without hobbies. This site has morphed from there, as I've found some of my true and most treasured passions and places.

Today, I'm an aspiring Photographer & Naturalist. I believe that everyone should have an artistic outlet; it makes us better professionals and humans. I feature my current work (and adventures) in the portfolio section of this site.

The primary site name - The Beach Pea Project - came from 10 years of visiting Alaska.  It's a beautiful beach flower that emerges into pods in the short Alaska summer. I love it for its bright, beautiful colors, as well as its ability to transform and resilitence.
